Holiday Activities and Events in the Local Area 2018

Summer 2018 Activities

You are invited to help us celebrate Great Wakering Rocks first birthday.  During the week commencing 6th August 2018 we are planning on creating a long line of locally decorated Rocks.

This will be in conjunction with the Play Scheme held at Great Wakering Community Centre. I will be attending on Monday and Tuesday that week with a rock decorating ‘Competition’ table. Those attending the group will be invited to decorate a rock during the session and encouraged to add it to the trail.

The local residents and community are also encouraged to support this event by adding their own rocks to the line during the week, these can be ones they have found or decorated themselves.

There is no limit to the number of rocks that can be added to the trail, the more the merrier.

This event is for adults and children, all ages and abilities welcome.

Further details of the competition to follow.

Please remember there are many ways you can help Great Wakering Rock including:

Contributing to the trail by adding rocks

Coming to admire the rock during our celebration week

Sharing this event with the local community

Encouraging those not taking part to leave the Rocks in place until Saturday 11th August

Any DONATIONS of resources or competition prizes would be very much appreciated.
